7. Variety Release & Line Development: 1. Rasoul variety: released in 2000, a triploid hybrid on CMS base, monogerm, cold tolerance, cercospora tolerance, high yield, high quality 2. Shirin variety: released in 2003, a diploid hybrid on CMS base, monogerm, bolting resistance, high sugar content, average yield. 3. Jelgheh Variety: released in 2004, a triploid hybrid on CMS base, monogerm, high yield and good quality in warm and dry areas. 4. Gadouk Variety released in 2004, a diploid hybrid on CMS base, monogerm, high sugar content and very high yield in temperate climates. 5. Zarghan Variety, a Rhizomania tolerant variety in CMS base, monogerm.
About 200 CMS lines of sugar beet with different characteristics and many pollinator lines with high combining abilities were developed and hand over to other breeders for further crossing programs.

9. Leadership Skills and Research Backgrounds: 1) Specialist in Plant breeding and genetics 2) Year 1981 - 1982, worked in my father land and grew crops. 3) Dec.1982- Jan. 1989, employed at Sugar Beet Seed Institute as an new expert and worked in research and seed production of beet. 4) Jan. 1989-August 1993, continued the PhD study in the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. 5) August1993- Nov.1997, I was appointed as the research deputy of Sugar Beet Seed Institute. I was committed in conducting breeding and genetics researches of Sugar Beet Seed Institute in parallel with performing my own projects; I helped the manager of the Institute in research branch. 6) Nov. 1997- Feb. 2002, worked as the General Director of Sugar Beet Seed Institute (SBSI) in Iran. The main activities consisted of two main parts: a. Management of research programs and seed production which included breeding and agronomical projects across the country and commercial seed production in the west part of the country (Ardabil). Research area covered 13 stations and included 200 employees of researchers, technicians, and administrative peoples. There were 50 additional employees responsible for seed production in the seed producing section. b. Coordinating and supporting joint projects between different departments / different institutes, monitoring and evaluating all experiments at subsidiary stations and controlling extension experiments in the growing areas in collaboration with sugar factories, publication output of sugar researches in the sugar beet journal of Iran. Management and Production of elite seeds needed for 3500 tons multigerm and 250 tons monogerm of commercial varieties in that time.
7) Feb. 2002 to June 2004, promoted as the Research Deputy of AREO, worked at headquarter of Agricultural Research and Education Organization (AREO) of Iran in Tehran. I partly involved in priority setting of research subjects and involved in transferring applicable results from research bodies of AREO to the extension and applied sections of Ministry of Agriculture like: Extension services, Agronomy, and Horticultural bodies. Head of Research Committee at research section of AREO which approved projects submitted by research bodies. Monitoring and Evaluation of designated projects across the country were the mandate of the committee too. Main research problems suggested by applied sections were discussed at research section of AREO; and then summarized and referred to the reliable Institutes. International department of AREO was coordinating Research work plans, PhD programs within the AREO as well as training courses outside the AREO especially at International Institutes like ICARDA, CYMMIT, IRRI, ICRISAT. Head of editorial board of publications at AREO, where scientific books and agricultural journals related to AREO were approved, edited and qualified for the publication. New findings of applied researches like innovations, discoveries, new varieties, applied protocols in plant nutrition, agronomic methods, mechanization, and etc that were outputs of researches transferred to the extension services to be examined at farmer level. In the mean time, I also investigated my own research projects one day a week in Karaj. 8) June 2004 to April 2005, worked at AGRI-FOOD Agriculture Canada as a Visiting Scientist. Proteomics and molecular genetics in relation to cold tolerances in crop plants as canola and sugar bet were the topic of my research work. 9) April 2005 - March 2006, working at Sugar Beet Seed Institute as a specialist in Genetics and Plant breeding. 10) From March 2006, working as deputy of Seed and Plant Certification & Registration Institute mainly involved in developing regulations and national guide lines for PVP and initiating DUS testes of new cultivars in Iran. 11). National consultant of PVP-TCP project, a common FAO and Iran project, Nov. 2007 to Jun 2009.
10. People and Interpersonal: 1. Since 1993 to 2002, worked with 210 employees at the Institute in Karaj and subsidiary stations (8 Ph.D., 50 MS and B.Sc., 56 technicians, others administration and formal workers), 5 interpersonally. 2. Since 2002, moved to AREO and managed national research institutes in the headquarter of AREO in Tehran and about 3500 researchers were employed in AREO and 3500 projects (5500 research activities) are annually being studied across the country. I together with 20 experts were organizing, approving, monitoring, and evaluating research proposals and projects received at AREO from different Institutes and research centers.
